Main Contraindications

The main contraindications are:

  • hypersensitivity to tadalafil or to any substance that is a part of the drug;
  • in case of taking drugs containing any organic nitrates;
  • use of persons under 18 years old;

Cialis Taken with Care

Since there is no data in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency (class C according to a classification of Child-Pugh), caution must be exercised when administering Cialis by this group of patients.

Caution should be exercised when administering Cialis to patients receiving alpha1-blocker, in case of simultaneous use which can lead to symptomatic hypotension in some patients. In a clinical pharmacology study in 18 healthy volunteers who received a single dose of tadalafil (the main component), there was no symptomatic hypotension while tamsulosin introduction.

Diagnosis of erectile dysfunction should include identification of potential cause, appropriate medical examination and treatment determination.

Cialis should be used with caution in patients with a predisposition to priapism (for sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma or leukemia), or in patients with anatomical deformation of the penis (angulation, cavernous fibrosis or Peyronie’s disease).
